Abstract

Our relationship with the past and our way of making use of it are really ambiguous: in several situations, we try to free ourselves from the burden of the inherited past by invoking an even more remote past. Starting from this consideration, the paper proposes a critical analysis of the work Die schrecklichen Kinder der Neuzeit of P. Sloterdijk, developed in six paragraphs and a conclusion with some critical remarks, where I raise the question of the multiple pasts.
