ABSTRACT - Morphological and biological remarks on the interspecific hybrid: Carabus olympiae Sella x C. solieri liguranus Breuning (Coleoptera Carabidae). The authors describe the results of a hybridisation trial between Carabus olympiae Sella, endemic to Pennine Alps (Biella province) and Carabus solieri Dejean, endemic to western Alps and Ligurian Apennines. For the first time the development of the larval instars and the intermediate features between the parental species in both the hybrid larva and male genitalia are described and illustrated.
