The present Article offers a reading of the US Supreme Court decision in Jam v. IFC from a two-fold perspective. First, it analyses the way in which the US Supreme Court approached the immuni-ty of international organizations, considering whether the exceptions to State immunity can be ap-plied by analogy to determine the scope of IOs immunity. Second, it presents some thoughts on the accountability of the IFC in particular and of international organizations in general. The two per-spectives lead to the conclusion that a regulation of organizations’ immunity grounded on interna-tional law would be welcome and it should be construed as to prompt these subjects to improve their accountability mechanisms
