This is a project on literacy, cultural identity and the transmission of Latin texts in Byzantium. These paper provide for the first time a comprehensive, though by design not exhaustive, view on the use and diffusion of Latin in the former Eastern Roman Empire up to the end of the (Long) Late Antiquity.
