Solid-state NMR (SSNMR) techniques yield a wealth of information complementary to, or alternative to, X-ray crystallography, thus providing similar yet different insights into the investigation of supramolecular systems. Indeed, SSNMR parameters can be used to probe powders at both the molecular and crystal structure level, without needing highly crystalline samples or special preparations. This chapter aims to provide an overview of the recent literature, paying particular attention to the study of weak interactions such as hydrogen and halogen bonds, in supramolecular systems through solid-state NMR investigations. Selected systems will be also discussed.

Abstract
Solid-state NMR (SSNMR) techniques yield a wealth of information complementary to, or alternative to, X-ray crystallography, thus providing similar yet different insights into the investigation of supramolecular systems. Indeed, SSNMR parameters can be used to probe powders at both the molecular and crystal structure level, without needing highly crystalline samples or special preparations. This chapter aims to provide an overview of the recent literature, paying particular attention to the study of weak interactions such as hydrogen and halogen bonds, in supramolecular systems through solid-state NMR investigations. Selected systems will be also discussed.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
