The project aims to develop a course in academic writing in a foreign language centred on the translation and production of academic texts in the foreign language using machine translation systems (MT systems), especially those that are freely available on the network, such as Google Translate. On the basis of two seminars held in Berlin in the summer semester of 2015 and in Turin in the summer semester of 2017, teaching advantages are analysed that can improve the approach to the discourse of the scientific community and at the same time improve writing skills in the target language, but also refine them in the mother tongue. These are two university courses for advanced learners, designed especially for scientists and international Erasmus students.

Abstract
The project aims to develop a course in academic writing in a foreign language centred on the translation and production of academic texts in the foreign language using machine translation systems (MT systems), especially those that are freely available on the network, such as Google Translate. On the basis of two seminars held in Berlin in the summer semester of 2015 and in Turin in the summer semester of 2017, teaching advantages are analysed that can improve the approach to the discourse of the scientific community and at the same time improve writing skills in the target language, but also refine them in the mother tongue. These are two university courses for advanced learners, designed especially for scientists and international Erasmus students.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
