L’enigmatica lista autografa di date, corredata di notazioni latine, depositata nelle carte finali del codice abelardiano di Petrarca (Par. lat. 2923) ha interrogato i suoi lettori dalla sua prima segnalazione, ad opera di Pierre de Nolhac (1892 e 1907), fino alla recente ritrascrizione di Maddalena Signorini (2019). Il saggio, dopo una premessa teorica sulla forma della lista, ne offre una descrizione dettagliata, basata sull’analisi minuta della sua divisione per sequenze (con ipotesi circa una annotazione delle date non «au jour le jour», come ipotizzava il Nolhac, ma per settimane), e con osservazioni di dettaglio sui vari simboli e segni paragrafematici di cui è corredata. Le ipotesi emesse dai vari lettori e critici circa l’oggetto delle annotazioni sono passate al vaglio, fino a valutare come non priva di consistenza quella riguardante le cure della scabbia. The essay aims to analyze the autograph list of dates, accompanied by latin notations, transcribed by Petrarch in the final folios of the codex containing the works of Abelard (Par. lat. 2923). The list has been the subject of investigations since its first report, by Pierre de Nolhac (1892 and 1907), up to the recent transcription by Maddalena Signorini (2019). After a theoretical premise on the form of the list, the essay offers a detailed description, based on a minute analysis of its division in sequences. A hypothesis is issued about the annotation of dates not daily, as Nolhac wrote, but for weeks, as well as detailed observations on the various symbols it is accompanied by. The hypotheses issued by the various readers and critics about the subject of the annotations are examined, up to the point of evaluating as not without consistency that concerning the treatment of scabies.
