L’inserimento lavorativo dei laureati con disabilità. Uno studio esplorativo sull’Ateneo torinese

Few empirical studies in our country have discussed the issue of the transition to the world of work for graduates with disabilities and there are not official statistics or data collected in a systematic way that allow us to examine their post-graduation employ ment outcomes. This article focuses on the employment chances of the 241 graduates with disabilities at the University of Turin between 2012 and 2016. The study matched two datasets, relating to the academic careers of students and to all contracts activated by them. One of the main findings of our study is the limited occupational advantage rep resented by the degree held by disabled people. However, some factors favor employment success: graduating in time, being younger, but above all enrolling in the Employment Center. Analyzing the contracts activated after graduation, permanent but low-qualified jobs were observed.
