Morphology is usually defined as the part of geography that deals with the physical constitution of a territory or a landscape taken as a whole. The central elements of a territory’s morphology are mountains, hills, rivers, coasts, etc. The presence of these and other elements, and the positions they hold within a spatial range, constitute the real form of a territory. A morphogenetic approach to territory, or landscape, is adopted when the scientific task consists in understanding its origins and foreseeing possible evolving scenarios.

Abstract
Morphology is usually defined as the part of geography that deals with the physical constitution of a territory or a landscape taken as a whole. The central elements of a territory’s morphology are mountains, hills, rivers, coasts, etc. The presence of these and other elements, and the positions they hold within a spatial range, constitute the real form of a territory. A morphogenetic approach to territory, or landscape, is adopted when the scientific task consists in understanding its origins and foreseeing possible evolving scenarios.File in questo prodotto:
