This chapter focuses on the results from the Transmedia Literacy project, financed by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. that took place between 2015 and 2018 in eight countries spread over Latin America and Europe and in Australia. The main aim was to understand what teenagers are doing with media and how they learnt to do so. In order to answer these questions, the project identified the transmedia skills and informal learning strategies that teens have developed outside school with the final aim of introducing them into formal education settings through a ‘Teacher’s Kit’ containing a set of learning activities and a YouTube channel.
