I nomi propri nei gerghi storici del Piemonte e della Valle d'Aosta: un'analisi deonomastica

This paper aims to describe and analyse the deonomastic elements of the corpus of historical argots of Piedmont and Aosta Valley. Starting from a short overview of both collection and systematization of different argot repertories, the parameters by which the corpus has been organized are then presented. Later, the onomastic components identified in the corpus are reported, trying to highlight their frequency from a statistical point of view. The discussion of the deonomastic items is then conducted, basing on application of the deonomastic taxonomy developed by Riccardo Regis (2009), in order to deal with the different types of deonyms selected for the analysis. The purpose of the examination leads finally to the identification of possible schemes that could be applied to corpora of argots from different areas.
