The aim of my article is to analyse the Spanish theatrical heritage and its reception, through specialised periodicals, in Turin in the 1900s. Published since 1926, “Il Dramma” constitutes the most remarkable case in this regard. In tracing the editorial history of this journal, I will take into consideration the first Italian translations of Spanish plays, focusing on the selection of specific works. Initially the journal included only the translations of less known plays in Italy but then was enriched by textual and paratextual elements such as articles and bibliographies. Thus the ultimate purpose of this project is to reveal the history of the reception of Spanish theatre in the Turin context.

Abstract
The aim of my article is to analyse the Spanish theatrical heritage and its reception, through specialised periodicals, in Turin in the 1900s. Published since 1926, “Il Dramma” constitutes the most remarkable case in this regard. In tracing the editorial history of this journal, I will take into consideration the first Italian translations of Spanish plays, focusing on the selection of specific works. Initially the journal included only the translations of less known plays in Italy but then was enriched by textual and paratextual elements such as articles and bibliographies. Thus the ultimate purpose of this project is to reveal the history of the reception of Spanish theatre in the Turin context.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
