The case law of the ICC on victims participation is one of the main contact point with the case law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), which has a very important role when it comes to victims. Through a specific example regarding the right to the truth, this work aims to analyse how the ECtHR’s case law is imported in the international criminal trial and what specific purpose is given to the importation of the jurisprudence of the ECtHR, a court whose authority and legitimacy is undisputed.
