This article aims at analysing the strategies used during the process of dubbing into Italian when dealing withnthe transposition of the Italian-American variety of English spoken in American films. The study focuses in particular on the cases when the chatìracters utter words or phrases or sometimes whole sentences in Italian (whereas they usually speak English in the rest of the film).
