Definire una memoria culturale: redazione, assemblaggio, conservazione e circolazione di scritture

L’intervento prende avvio dal volume di Michele Campopiano Writing the Holy Land, per analizzare le forme e i testi impiegati dai frati del convento minoritico del Monte Sion in Gerusalemme nella costruzione di una memoria collettiva dei luoghi santi mediata dalla parola scritta. L’intervento sottolinea il ricorso efficace a differenti approcci metodologici nello studio delle fonti presenti nella biblioteca del convento del Monte Sion, che vennero reimpiegate in nuove compilazioni e manoscritti miscellanei. Starting from a review of the work of Michele Campopiano Writing the Holy Land, this paper analyses the forms and the texts used by the friars of the Franciscan convent of Mount Sion in Jerusalem in the construction of a collective memory of holy places mediated through the written word. The paper also emphasizes the effective use of different methodological approaches in the study of the sources present in the library of Mount Sion, which were reused in new compilations and miscellaneous manuscripts.
