The last novel from the Decameron was very soon the object of a Latin translation by Petrarca. This Latin text, printed in Germany around 1470worked as a point of departure for all the versions of this story, very popular in Spain as elsewhere in Europe. In this article the Spanish adaptations of Griselda's story to novel, poetry and theatre from XV to XVII cc. are presented and analysed.
