The macabre tradition in Resistence Literature · The macabre in Resistence Literature is a regular feature both explicit or implicit. The aim of the article is to analyse some excerpts of the literary work by Giorgio Bassani, Mario Bonfantini, Italo Calvino, Pietro Chiodi, Giovanni De Luna, Beppe Fenoglio, Eugenio Montale, Giampaolo Pansa and Giovanni Pesce, in order to point out the presence of the macabre component. The examples denote an existential and historic setting organically characterized by fear and violence, which are unavoid able features of the narration.
