this article aims to draw some conclusions regarding the contents of the book Semi-otica e intelligenza artificiale (Leone, Santangelo, eds., 2022). Furthermore, it at-tempts to identify some issues, regarding the relationship between semiotics and the various disciplines that deal with AI, that would allow research in this field to be re-launched. The main topics it deals with are twofold: the definition of the concept of intelligence starting from the faculty of correctly interpreting things, and the mean-ing that the design of the various artificial intelligence tools we use in our everyday lives takes on today.
