Exploring today’s publishing landscape, characterized by an almost radical transformation compared to a quite recent past, this paper tackles the topic of literary translations from Serbo-Croatian to Italian starting from the 1990s. The research centers on both the Italian publishers distinguished for publishing works by ex-Yugoslavian writers and their direct interlocutors, namely the translators – here discussed for both their professional figure and the role they play – and the universities. Particular attention will be paid to translators, due to their central importance in the publishing cycle whose outcome is the publication of the “product”, the book: in this regard, an attempt will be made to identify some types of contemporary literary translators to see if their profile and function have changed over time. At the same time, a proposal will be made to create a virtual common space that can involve professionals in the literary sector, such as university teachers, translators, but above all publishers: indeed these individuals could share and exchange ideas and projects, and thus draw on this precious source in view of future choices in the field of publishing.

Abstract
At the same time, a proposal will be made to create a virtual common space that can involve professionals in the literary sector, such as university teachers, translators, but above all publishers: indeed these individuals could share and exchange ideas and projects, and thus draw on this precious source in view of future choices in the field of publishing.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
