Abstract
Nisa is one of the first royal foundations of the Arsacids, a Parthian dynasty that built a long-lasting empire between Mesopotamia, Iran, and Central Asia. The art and architecture of Nisa (first century bce–first century ce) offer the most evident example of the taste of the Arsacid court. They constitute a fundamental reference for the knowledge of the religious, political, and ideological beliefs of the Parthians, as well as of the intercultural relations between East and West after the conquest of Alexander the Great.File in questo prodotto:
