This article aims to investigate the role that narrator-listener interaction plays in spatialisation in the communicative genre of the 'narrative autobiographical interview'. Designed as a qualitative study, the article begins by presenting the theoretical framework and then uses Anne Betten's interview with David and Ruth Bar-Levi to examine how interactants co-construct spatial reference and spatial situatedness in the interaction process.
