The aim of this essay is to address Dany Laferrière and Junot Diaz's adherence to 'metamodernism', in the context of Caribbean literature and respectively through their two debut novels 'Comment faire l'amour avec un nègre sans se fatiguer' (1985) and 'The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao' (2008). The last scope of this paper will be to signify the 'atopos' - the place of metamodern aesthetics - as a place of non-recognition: the much sought-after space of the decolonization of hearts and minds.

Abstract
The aim of this essay is to address Dany Laferrière and Junot Diaz's adherence to 'metamodernism', in the context of Caribbean literature and respectively through their two debut novels 'Comment faire l'amour avec un nègre sans se fatiguer' (1985) and 'The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao' (2008). The last scope of this paper will be to signify the 'atopos' - the place of metamodern aesthetics - as a place of non-recognition: the much sought-after space of the decolonization of hearts and minds.File in questo prodotto:
