This paper aims to draw attention to a particular coin from the collections of the National Archaeological Museum of Venice, a tetradrama of the Sicilian mint of Punic emission, retracing its collection history and framing it within the most complex phenomenon of numismatic collecting in the Serenissima of the XVI and XVII century. The coin object of this study was originally part of the collection of Pietro Morosini (1611-1683), who by testament had linked his collection of coins to the Republic in 1683, the year of his death.
