Abstract
Trying to address the still widespread colonial view through a “recovery process” towards sustainability and equanimity, the following article raises the issues of attending to and accounting for arbitrary times, systemic discrimination and climatic urgency, data visualization and perceptual visibility, and stratified, hybrid, and mechanized visages. Adopting a semiotics of the body and of space that includes aspects of a contemporary globalized digital culture, the proposal investigates the material and local dimension of the face and outlines some guidelines for thinking about its future, holistically. From the critique of the measurement of time, to the analysis of the maintenant, from the prefabrication of the future to the resemantization of the past, we will see how art’s language intervene to sediment and co–create the content.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
