This contribution aims to reflect on the mediation strategies implemented by teachers and learners in the context of intercomprehension (ic) courses aimed at non-linguistic learners. Based on the discourse analysis model proposed by Sinclair & coulthard (1975), three interactions related to text comprehension will be analyzed to describe the linguistic and pragmatic elements that characterize them and to identify corrective and good practices that can become application suggestions to improve and support the development of ic strategies in the classroom
