This VSI was conceived to collect relevant studies addressing the connection between chemistry, CE and sustainable development, so as to contribute and promote environmental and socio-economic improvements in the life cycles of chemical commodities. To that end, the key aim of this VSI was to address the relevant research issues connected with application of sustainability principles in all of those manufacturing systems in which waste are recirculated and reprocessed into value-added unconventional chemical commodities.
