The University of Turin, as part of the actions envisaged by the D.M. 934 of 08/03/2022, implemented 213 educational guidance courses in secondary schools (for a total of 4329 students). The activities for the terminal classes integrate different methods and tools (narrative approach, testing sessions, use of self-assessment tools, platforms…) and proceed from self-exploration to the analysis of professions and post-secondary training paths. The initial courses instead (for students aged 16-17) are centered on self-discovery and mainly adopt the narrative method, exploiting the evocative power of music ("Rap for guidance") and photography ("Photovoice for guidance"). This contribution intends to illustrate the two innovative programs, their theoretical references and the first results of effectiveness on a sample of 125 students. A self-assessment tool was administered, before and after the interventions in the classroom, to detect some dimensions of adaptability, optimism, reflexivity, self-awareness, one's interests and values, and willingness to tell about yourself.
