Io continuo a resistere Un’autoetnografia collaborativa sulle pratiche di resistenza alla coercizione in psichiatria

This paper fits into the field of Resistance Studies and investigates the practices of resistance to coercion. It is an autoethnography based on the collaboration of a psychiatrized woman and a scholar. It proposes the evidence-based concept of «resistance to coercion in psychiatry» that it declines into four types: expressive, advocacy, radical and heroic resistance practices. The four types take shape through the crossing of two empirically and theoretically relevant dimensions: on the one hand, the motivations that move the resistant subject to action that can be distinguished analytically in selfish and altruistic and, on the other, the practices of resistance adopted characterized by forms of material or symbolic opposition.
