Un'icona culturale in continua evoluzione

This paper deals with the evolution of a particularly relevant cultural icon, whose figurativisation and valorisation have evidently changed over time: Mother Nature. After the description of the main ideas and features that have been associated with such a figure along time, we deal specifically with its Western iconography, moving from classical imaginaries to present–day mediascapes, in a semiocultural perspective.
