«Sembra invocare e esigere ostinazione di ermeneuti». Dante, Sanguineti e l’inconcluso commento al Purgatorio

In the first part of the contribution, the analysis of some documents from Fondo Eredi of the archive of Centro Studi Interuniversitario “Edoardo Sanguineti” allows to advance hypotheses on the placement of Sanguineti’s unpublished and unfinished commentary on Purgatorio among the projects he worked on during the 1960s, consolidating his academic position. In the second part, the analysis of a sample of notes is instead useful in describing the exegetical strategies followed by Sanguineti, the original features and the relations with the sources, with other commentators and the most recent critical bibliography.
