The aim of this paper is to examine the relationship between artists and the Murano factory between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, starting with the cartoon by Vittorio Bressanin for the mosaic produced by the Compagnia Venezia Murano for the Milan International Exhibition of 1906. The mosaic by the Venetian painter will therefore be analysed in the broader context of his production, an artist closely linked to the lagoon tradition of the 18th century and to the activity of the Compagnia Venezia Murano (or C.V.M.), financed in those years by the wealthy Jewish merchant and collector Salvatore Arbib. The research has developed through an archival and bibliographical study that will provide further information on the mosaic, the factory and the clients.

Abstract
The research has developed through an archival and bibliographical study that will provide further information on the mosaic, the factory and the clients.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
