In this chapter, we focus on exploring the possibilities of legal anthropology and its utility for the methodology of comparative law. As we delve into the subject, we will discover that considering legal anthropology as a framework for analysing comparative law issues proves highly advantageous, given the wealth of historical and epistemological experiences it encompasses.2 From this standpoint, the research questions were simple, even if challenging: how much can a comparativist learn from an anthropologist? What divides them, or conversely, what commonalities connect them? Finally, can legal anthro- pology serve as a conduit for revitalising comparative law within a global legal framework?

Abstract
In this chapter, we focus on exploring the possibilities of legal anthropology and its utility for the methodology of comparative law. As we delve into the subject, we will discover that considering legal anthropology as a framework for analysing comparative law issues proves highly advantageous, given the wealth of historical and epistemological experiences it encompasses.2 From this standpoint, the research questions were simple, even if challenging: how much can a comparativist learn from an anthropologist? What divides them, or conversely, what commonalities connect them? Finally, can legal anthro- pology serve as a conduit for revitalising comparative law within a global legal framework?File | Dimensione | Formato | |
