The article analyses the “spatial government” towards the implementation of the Common European Data Space on the Green Deal. It examines the system of com petences for exercising the function of digital spatial government in Europe and in national law. The Directive on the introduction of the Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe (INSPIRE, 2007/02/EC) requires the coordination of geographical and spatial information through the creation of a National Geoportal in Member States, which collects the spatial data of regional and local administrations. The correct implementation of the European regulations requires data completeness and interoperability to ensure the validity of urban planning tools.
