L’Opera pia Barolo, une réponse juridique locale aux limites de la liberté testamentaire du droit national

The will of the Marchesa Giulia Colbert Falletti di Barolo to devolve her large family estate to the protection of the weakest subjects has created a friction between the testamentary provisions and the national legislation. This research aims to examine the technical-legal modalities of the institution of the Opera pia, through the study of the testamentary wills, of the administrative acts for the legal construction of the moral entity and of the management choices of the Opera pia's leaders.
