This paper aims to discuss some of the challenges facing historical-archival discipline. Dealing with the many and diverse audiences of contemporary society, to name one. An overall assessment was carried out with the intention – and wish – of providing insights on the subject and inspiring further research and related projects. The case analysed concerns “9centRo”, the digital platform of Polo del ‘900 (Turin, IT), a cultural centre dedicated to the twentieth century, and its experiment conducted on the dialogue between historical and archival cultures, Public History and Historytelling.
