Circolazione e radicamento di chierici nelle valli Pellice, Chisone e Germanasca nel tardo medioevo

The essay examines the circulation and establishment of clerics in the Pellice, Chisone, and Germanasca Valleys during the 14th and 15th centuries. It particularly focuses on the movements of clerics from outside these valleys, including bishops on pastoral visits and regular clergy engaged in preaching. Regarding the establishment of clergy, the essay examines the forms and logic behind the selection of settled clergy responsible for the care of souls in Alpine parishes. These clergy often operated alongside the antagonistic apostolate of itinerant preachers from the Waldensian movement. Il contributo esamina la circolazione e il radicamento, nei secoli XIV-XV, di chierici nelle nelle Valli Pellice, Chisone e Germanasca, in particolare approfondendo il passaggio nell'area valliva di chierici esterni ad essa, quali i vescovi impegnati nelle visite pastorali o nelle clericature, o il clero regolare dedito alla predicazione. Sul versante del radicamento, sono state esaminate le forme e le logiche assunte nella selezione del clero stanziale in cura d’anime nelle parrocchie alpine, che si trovò ad operare in parallelo all’antagonista apostolato degli itineranti predicatori del movimento valdese.
