The contribution takes as its starting point the removal of trauma, which, present in folk tales, is slowly coming to an end in authorial fairy tales. With the latest developments in the fairy-tale genre, we arrive at the fan-fiction classics in which, instead of the removal of trauma typical of the fairy-tale, we witness a progressive affirmation and narration of the same, with the awareness that the trauma par excellence is now identified with the transition from adolescence to adulthood and with the acceptance of death.

Abstract

The contribution takes as its starting point the removal of trauma, which, present in folk tales, is slowly coming to an end in authorial fairy tales. With the latest developments in the fairy-tale genre, we arrive at the fan-fiction classics in which, instead of the removal of trauma typical of the fairy-tale, we witness a progressive affirmation and narration of the same, with the awareness that the trauma par excellence is now identified with the transition from adolescence to adulthood and with the acceptance of death.
