This article introduces the of choice-of-court agreements, focusing on the current situation in Colombia where there is no express rule governing the agreements in question. The article highlights the importance of the PGLPIL’s rules and the matter of jurisdiction clauses. It deals with the topic of written form, presents the types of choice-of-court agreements. It also examines the suggested rules of the PGLPIL on lis pendens with specific regard to cases involving choice-of-court agreements. The article concludes that it would be a good for the international trade if Colombia adopted the 2005 Hague Convention.
