The results of the project "It-Sr-NER: Web services for named entity recognition, linking, and mapping" will be presented. The project involved teams from the University of Turin and the Society for Language Resources and Technologies (JeRTech), with the goal of developing the It-Sr-NER web service for annotating named entities in text and displaying them on a map. The named entities in these services include personal names, places, organizations, demonyms (ethnonyms), events, and authored works.
