The paper aims to investigate the role of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in checking the normative acts. Moving from the analysis of his ratifications with remarks, the study focuses on the statements about the constitutional reading of the legal norms, opening a long-distance dialogue with judges. The essay concludes observing how this Presidential way of foreseeing the right interpretation to give to the acts could have an impact on the institutional balances.
