Based on the categories of Allison and Missemer, who distinguished different typologies of "intellectual legacies", this article reconstructs a case of "faithful intellectual legacy", the one linking two Italian economists: Antonio de Viti de Marco and Luigi Einaudi. The legacy transmitted from the inspirer to the inspired is reconstructed by comparing the ideas expressed in their public writings.
