This contribution presents a dialogue between the discourses on heritage and the multisituated research project PRIN/PNRR FoCE (Food Communities Empowerment). Starting from a critical discussion of the geographical literature on food and post-development, the case studies of Amman in Jordan, Sidi Bounouar and Tangier in Morocco, and Terrat in Tanzania are discussed. Through the reflections arising from the first phase of this research, this contribution interrogates the processes of heritage-making and the interconnections between food, places, and communities, in light of the political, economic, and environmental challenges that undermine local food systems.

Abstract
This contribution presents a dialogue between the discourses on heritage and the multisituated research project PRIN/PNRR FoCE (Food Communities Empowerment). Starting from a critical discussion of the geographical literature on food and post-development, the case studies of Amman in Jordan, Sidi Bounouar and Tangier in Morocco, and Terrat in Tanzania are discussed. Through the reflections arising from the first phase of this research, this contribution interrogates the processes of heritage-making and the interconnections between food, places, and communities, in light of the political, economic, and environmental challenges that undermine local food systems.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
