The Iraqi-Italian Qadis survey project, jointly conduced by the University of Bologna and the Sbah of Qadisiyah, was carried out on the ground between 2016 and 2019. It has been implemented using cutting-edge techniques together with the classical methods of remote sensing and surveying. Among the identified sites, a fair number showed a Parthian and Sasanian occupation. The settlement patterns and ma- terial evidence for those periods are discussed in this paper.
