The paper presents and discusses the joint activity of the Polytechnic and the University of Turin, starting from what was realised in the Tonite-UIA Project of the City of Turin. Tonite focused on urban security in Turin's Aurora district, a complex and multi-faceted territory close to the city centre. Our project – ‘Grandangolo’– involved a primary school in the neighbourhood and aimed to address the controversial topic of urban security with a participatory and inclusive approach.

Abstract
