The essay traces the genealogy of Diabolik, focusing in particular on the role of parody. Through the analysis of films such as Totò Diabolicus, the Thrilling episode titled Sadik, Arrriva Dorellik, and other films from the second half of the 1960s, the essay aims to show how parody functions as a space of mediation between subversion and normalization of the masked antihero.
