This 2025 volume of the _Annali di studi religiosi_, edited by Massimo Leone, maps contemporary intersections between semiotics, religious experience, and ethical transformation across four thematic constellations: the semiotics of religion, awe, mountains, and artificial intelligence. The collection situates religious and ethical inquiry at the epistemic thresholds where doctrinal coherence gives way to cultural, affective, and technological reconfiguration. Essays in the first section advance the semiotic study of religion through analyses of ritual, embodiment, and visuality; the second examines awe as an affective hinge of paradigmatic crisis and renewal; the third reconsiders the mountain as a symbolic locus of transcendence and ecological consciousness; and the fourth addresses the ethical and epistemic challenges of AI. Together, these investigations reveal how semiotics functions as a critical method for tracing the faultlines—symbolic, emotional, and algorithmic—through which meaning, spirituality, and moral imagination are reshaped in the contemporary world.
