Contemporary cinema highlights an increasing overlap between author and actor, blurring the boundaries between creation and interpretation. Phenomena such as cameos, self- parody, and playing oneself on screen demonstrate how actors can transform into authors, directly influencing the narrative imagination. The essay aims to analyze how actors, by redefining their roles, contribute to deconstructing the classical paradigms of cinematic storytelling. Through a series of central examples, it explores the dynamics reflecting postmodern fragmentation and the reciprocal translation between author and actor. The actor, simultaneously a star, myth, and demiurgic agent, emerges as a pivotal figure in expanding the medium's interpretative possibilities and reshaping the relationship between author, actor, and audience.

Abstract
Contemporary cinema highlights an increasing overlap between author and actor, blurring the boundaries between creation and interpretation. Phenomena such as cameos, self- parody, and playing oneself on screen demonstrate how actors can transform into authors, directly influencing the narrative imagination. The essay aims to analyze how actors, by redefining their roles, contribute to deconstructing the classical paradigms of cinematic storytelling. Through a series of central examples, it explores the dynamics reflecting postmodern fragmentation and the reciprocal translation between author and actor. The actor, simultaneously a star, myth, and demiurgic agent, emerges as a pivotal figure in expanding the medium's interpretative possibilities and reshaping the relationship between author, actor, and audience.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
