The article compares narratives of migration from Italy to Argentina with contemporary narratives of migration to the northern border between Mexico and the United States, focusing primarily on verbal narratives but without neglecting visual ones. While in the case of historical migration, the genealogy in which the narratives are inscribed is that of the war novel, in the case of contemporary migration, this genealogy is that of concentration camp literature.
