The purpose of the article is to analyze Romania's National Strategy for Sustainable Development 2030, with a focus on integrating the educational dimension in the context of the objectives of the ONU 2030 Agenda. Methodologically, the research is based on the analysis of strategic documents, implementation reports and the review of the main public policies in the field of education and sustainable development. The results highlight moderate progress, estimated at around 60–65% in achieving educational targets by 2024, but also significant gaps in reducing inequalities between urban and rural areas, as well as in integrating sustainability skills into the school curriculum. Recommendations are made on strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, increasing funding for green education and implementing more effective monitoring mechanisms. The original contribution of the paper consists in defining and arguing a new conceptual framework – the 5 Ps of Sustainable Development (People, Planet, Peace, Partnership, Prosperity) – which offers an integrative perspective on the implementation of the 2030 Strategy in Romania.
