À propos de l’“Histoire du chevalier Oben” (Lyon, Guillaume Le Roy, 1480 ca.)

The Histoire du chevalier Oben [Lyon, Guillaume Le Roy, 1480] is preserved in a single copy at the BL in London; this incunabulum contains the Purgatoire saint Patrice and the Lettre du Prestre Jehan, but the texts are not identical to subsequent editions, nor in the manuscript tradition. On the basis of bibliographical data and of an analysis of some narrative and textual features of the two works, a more precise dating of this edition will be proposed, and hypoth- eses will be formulated as to the author of these two partial reworkings. The two texts will be situated within the textual tradition of the two works.
